Ingredients are listed on each product page and you can learn more about our ingredients below!
Baking Soda (Sodium Bicarbonate): A household staple, this salt has antiseptic and anti-inflammatory properties and works to balance the PH levels of the skin. We use this in combination with citric acid to achieve the fizzing reaction in the water.
Citric Acid: An alkalizing agent, occuring in lemons, oranges and other citrus fruits, citric acid is a type of alpha-hydroxy acid which exfoliates your skin and removes dead skin cells. Citric acid in combination with baking soda causes a fizzing reaction once it hits the water.
Epsom Salt: Also known as magnesium sulfate, this salt contains two minerals, magnesium and sulfate. These two minerals are beneficial for your body once absorbed by the skin, relieving sore muscles, soothing aches and reducing inflammation.
Sodium Lauryl Sulfoacetate (SLSA): Derived from coconut oil, and often confused with sodium lauryl sulfate, SLSA is a very mild foaming agent. The molecular size of this surfactant is large, thus it does not penetrate the skin like sodium lauryl sulfate does. It is non-irritating and safe to use on sensitive skin. We use it in some of our formulations to create some lovely foam and bubbles!
Coffee Grinds: We love including coffee grinds in our ingredients list because of all its awesome healing properties. Coffee tightens pores, eliminates dead skin cells and gives way for younger looking skin. Full of antioxidants, coffee grinds have been known to reduce cellulite after using them in a scrubbing motion.
Raw Honey: Honey is a natural anti-bacterial so it is perfect to treat many skin ailments. Cleanses pores and moisturizes deeply. Honey also fades scars and protects your skin.
Buttermilk Powder: Makes for very moisturizing bath water and infuses your bath water with lactic acid. Contains a higher portion of lactic acid compared to other milks. This acid works to remove dead skin cells gently.
Coconut Milk Powder: The smell of this ingredient alone is therapeutic. A vegan alternative to buttermilk powder, this ingredient creates a moisturizing oasis in your bath.
Seaweed Powder: A rich source of vitamins, minerals, and fatty acids, seaweed powder is one hell of an ingredient. When applied to skin it acts as a powerful detoxifier, while also providing the skin with nutrients such as vitamin C, B12, and vitamin E. The rich fatty acids combat skin irritations such as acne and exzema and it also stimulates circulation to combat annoying cellulite!
Matcha Powder: Firstly, the natural bright green colour of this powder just makes us happy! But other than the pleasing colour, this green tea powder offers antioxidants, soothing properties, and energizing effects on the body. A matcha bath can aid in the healing of a sunburn, dry skin, and numerous other skin conditions.
Oatmeal Powder: This powder helps to normalize your skin's PH levels. Because dry and itchy skin has a high PH level, oatmeal can relieve the itch and discomfort.
Beetroot Powder: Beets are a gorgeous red colour and the powder is a great alternative to standard colourants. It is non-staining as the colour in beetroot powder is water soluble. This powder offers a beautiful uplifting colour in addition to a soak in its abundant antioxidants.
Cocoa Powder: Not only does this ingredient smell like heavenly chocolate but it is surprisingly beneficial to bathe in! Full of antioxidants, cocoa powder gives your skin a healthy glow and wards away acne. It is also stress relieving, which is no surprise since it is basically chocolate!
Clays: Natural and derived from the earth. Clays serve a double purpose, to detoxify and add colour to our formulas.
Cream of Tartar: This ingredient is a by-product of wine-making. Collected from the sides of wine-barrels, this natural substance is used to keep our bubbles bigger for longer!
Corn Starch: Used for a variety skin-ailments, this incredibly gentle ingredient has become a household staple for rashes, irritation and burns.
Plant Butters: These include cocoa butter and mango butter. Highly moisturizing and effective. Plant butters lock in moisture and keep you hydrated and smelling divine.
Food-Grade Plant Oils: Offering supple hydration, we use various plant oils for their moisturizing and healing properties and delicate aromas.
Vegetable Glycerin: Naturally derived humectant. A humectant helps retain moisture on the skin, while binding together other moisturizing ingredients.
Essential Oils: We carry numerous essential oils in our studio and love to blend them with one another for fantastic effects. These are all derived from plants and offer pleasing natural aromas that are safe to inhale via the steam produced by the hot water in your bath. They are safe on your skin and have various beneficial properties. Essential oils should not be confused with fragrance oils, which are synthetically created.
Dried Florals & Seaweed: We like to add a bit of fun to your bath with dried botanicals! These are all natural and include a variety of nutrients.
Lake Colours: The safe synthetic colourants we use in some of our potions leave no ring around your tub. We only use these safe synthetics when it is impossible to achieve a specific colour with naturally derived colourants.
